About Us

Camel Coastal & Country

Camel Coastal & Country is an award-winning independent estate agency based in Perranporth, on Cornwall's north coast. Winners of the International Property Awards for Best Real Estate Agency — Single Office (2025/26), our reputation for honest, personal service has seen clients seek us out well beyond our original doorstep — from the north coast to mid-Cornwall and beyond.

We've been part of this community since 1999, and that deep local knowledge shapes everything we do. We understand the character of individual streets and settlements, the rhythms of coastal life, and what it really means to find the right home — or the right buyer — in this part of the world.

We handle the sale of residential properties across all price ranges, from village cottages to landmark coastal homes, as well as the sale, letting and management of commercial premises. Our approach is personal and considered: every client and every property receives genuine individual attention, not a one-size-fits-all process.

We believe buying or selling a home is one of the most significant decisions you'll make, and we treat it accordingly.

Our Roots in Perranporth

While our reach now extends across Cornwall — taking in Cubert, Crantock, Holywell, St Newlyn East, Goonhavern, and increasingly further afield to places like St Austell and Redruth — Perranporth is where it all began, and it remains our home.

Perranporth is a small seaside resort on the north coast of Cornwall approximately 6 miles west of Newquay and 7 miles northwest of Truro.

The name Perranporth derives from the Cornish for “the cove of Saint Piran” (Porth Piran). Saint Piran is one of the patron saints of the County who is believed to have founded a church near the town in the seventh century. During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries when the Cornish tin and copper mining industry was at its zenith the village of Perranporth was a productive local mining centre and to this day there are still a number of historical features from this previous age to be seen in the area.

Today Perranporth is famed for its 3 miles of golden sands and dramatic surrounding coastline. As such it is a popular holiday destination for all the family as well as being a renowned surfers haven. It has a resident population of just over 3,000 and offers a good range of local shops and other amenities catering for most daily requirements. Perranporth has thriving local rugby, soccer and cricket clubs together with a golf club reputed to have one of the finest natural links courses in the country.
